Bypass Systems

Bypassing is a simple, efficient method of temporarily redirecting the flow of either a sewer or water line to accomplish the construction or reconstruction of a structure, pipeline or any other below-ground structure. The system consists of a pump or pumps connected to a manifold or "header pipe" which is connected to the discharge location. This bypass pump is designed to handle the water or effluent and reroute it so construction may be completed. The entire system affects to the extent necessary to alter the flow. Slead Construction uses critically silenced pumps where necessary to minimize the noise pollution commonly associated with such systems.

Pictured here are on-site HDPE fusion machines, for connecting the discharge pipe. Trained personnel are available to operate this equipment and install discharge piping of any required length. The "Trackstar" is able to crawl into the open excavation, fuse the pipe, then crawl back out.
